The JTIEC was created by the Team Orlando Board of Directors in 2006. The JTIEC is resourced and staffed by the Team Orlando commands with CSG providing the deputy director and the project manager. It has two primary missions: (1) to support, enhance and advocate for Team Orlando, and (2) to manage cross-cutting interservice or joint projects.
The JTIEC promotes Team Orlando capabilities to non-service customers. In this regard, it serves as a conduit into Team Orlando for government entities that do not have a habitual relationship with a Team Orlando member. The JTIEC staff consults with prospective customers to determine which Team Orlando organizations are best suited to meet the individual customerís requirements. As an action arm of the Team Orlando Board of Directors, the JTEIC coordinates Team Orlando participation in special events and conferences, coordinates and hosts Team Orlando visitors, and executes tasks in support of strategic objectives developed to improve Team Orlando capabilities.
The JTIEC currently manages three projects for the DoD Modeling and Simulation Steering Committee. These projects are: Live, Virtual, Constructive Architecture Roadmap Implementation (LVCAR-I), Rapid Data Generation (RDG), and Modeling and Simulation Core. All of these projects are resourced by the OSD Modeling and Simulation Coordination Office (M&SCO) program element and support the entire DoD M&S enterprise.
