MISSION:
To provide a turn-key type operation paid for based on hours of contracted mission time (simulator availability) in support of initial entry level and graduate-level flight training and simulations in support of professional military education courses and pre-deployment training.
DESCRIPTION:
The FS XXI simulation capability is a long-term, contractor-provided simulation service consisting of Training Helicopter (TH-67) virtual simulators, advanced aircraft virtual simulators (UH-60A/L, UH-60M, AH-64A/D, OH-58D, CH-47D and CH-47F), reconfigurable collective training devices and a training support/management oversight capability. Systems are owned, operated and maintained by the contractor with government oversight and approval. The number, type, functionality, fidelity and availability of the flight simulators meet the needs of student loads, training schedules, individual/crew and collective training requirements prescribed by the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence at Fort Rucker, AL.
FSXXI simulation capability provides two main areas of training focus: Individual/Crew and Collective training. The individual/Crew training is located in an off post, contractor owned facility Warrior Hall. Within Warrior Hall there are 34 simulators consisting of a mixture of TH-1H, TH-67, UH-60A/L, CH-47D and the first OH-58D aircraft simulators in the Army. These simulators are divided into two categories of Instrument Flight Trainers(IFT) and Operational Flight Trainers(OFT).
The Collective Training capability is located on post in the Seneff Aviation Warfighting Center (AWSC) and consists of 18 RCTD's. This capability focus is on Pre Deployment Aviation Training Exercises(ATX) and Professional Military Education courses. The collective training environment has proven capabilities in place to facilitate integration of remote training facilities and devices into the environment for enhanced training scenarios.
