To provide an OPFOR wheeled threat capability that units are able to train against and develop Tactics Techniques and Procedures (TTP) to counter and defeat the emerging worldwide threat capability. The OSWV will provide Combat Training Centers’ Opposing Forces (OPFORs) the ability to replicate a hybrid threat vehicle that is needed to train a Rotational Training Unit (RTU) using their Full Spectrum Operations Mission Essential Task Lists. The OSWV provides the key component of the OPFOR that is the tactical, technical and commercial vehicles that are needed during the Force on Force (FOF) training events for live training
DESCRIPTION:
OSWV is a family of wheeled vehicles, VISMODs, and instrumentation components intended to portray an enemy threat and Civilians on the Battle Field (COB) vehicles at the three CTCs. These vehicles include Enemy Tactical (Indirect Fire, Armored Personnel Carrier (APC), Anti-Tank Guided Missile (ATGM), Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition (RSTA), Technical, and COB Vehicles.
