Test Enterprise Network Modernization (TNM)

PM CT2

Mission

The overarching mission of the Test Enterprise Network Modernization (TNM) program is to establish an enterprise environment for commonality, interchangeability and interoperability via an approach that will standardize architecture, configuration, hardware, software, training and network management tools across Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) test centers.

Description

Test Enterprise Network Modernization (TENM) encompasses the requirements and acquisition approach for the networking efforts under the Test Network Modernization (TNM), ATEC Fiber Modernization (AFM), and Future Wireless Network (FWN) projects.

  • TNM applies enterprise solutions to replace, improve, protect, and better manage existing ATEC test network equipment.  Approved commercial hardware and software are procured to meet each test center’s needs consistent with existing operations, support, and Cybersecurity requirements.
  • AFM provides the test centers and operational test locations with a revitalized fiber network infrastructure to complement the TNM project to support greater data throughput, increased reliability and redundancy.  This enterprise project will replace fiber optic cable to meet current and future test mission needs and extend the life cycle of the test networks.
  • FWN will complement the AFM project by leveraging existing and developmental wireless capabilities to the maximum extent possible at the ATEC test centers and operational test locations.
