eXpeditionary Live-Virtual-Constructive Command Center (XLCC)

PM CT2

Mission

XLCC serves as the Exercise Control (EXCON) for conducting operational testing, providing a Common Operating Picture (COP) that incorporates live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) entities.

Description

The eXpeditionary Live-Virtual-Constructive Command Center (XLCC) is a part Federated Systems of Systems approach to the Multi-Domain Operations Environment (MDOE) being developed by US Army Program Executive Office Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI).

  • Integrates multiple LVC products for a realistic and immersive test and training event required to create a MDOE
  • Reduces Forces Command requirements through simulation of division enablers and enhances training through early integration with signature modernization efforts
  • Enables real-time data collection to monitor, control, and access data during testing, and allows test officers to visualize both ground truth and perceived truth for both friendly and threat sensors.
  • Establishes realistic battlefield effects through integration of training tools, threat emitters, and combat simulations.
  • Provides Operational Test (OT) White Cell Common Operating Picture (COP)

XLCC system is a tool used by the United States Army Operational Test Command (USAOTC) to support the evaluation of warfighting equipment and its configuration under test.  XLCC is a expeditionary mobile system capable of providing continuous support during test event planning, execution, and post-test analysis.  XLCC processes test configurations, observations, and data collection device commands from test support personnel as well as real-time causality assessment data and entity tracking data from instrumentation systems, synthetic, and tactical environments to produce test feedback, data report, and take-home package.
