Instrumentable-Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System Vehicle Tactical Engagement Simulation System (I-MILES VTESS) - To simulate both the vulnerability and the firing capabilities of vehicles as well as to serve as a means to objectively assess weapon effects during training. To provide unit commanders an integrated training system for use at home station local training areas and instrumented training areas.
Description
Vehicle Tactical Engagement Simulation System (VTESS) provides realistic, real-time casualty effects for force-on-force tactical engagement training scenarios and its ability to integrate into training instrumentation systems provide for high fidelity combined arms combat exercises. VTESS provides Force-On-Force training capabilities for both Tactical and Combat vehicles while implementing a component-based architecture. VTESS Incorporates a Government-owned standards and software as well as Live Personal Area Network (L-PAN) and Live Tactical Engagement Composition (LTEC). This system will leverage use of components associated with the Live Training Transformation-Family of Training Systems (LT2-FTS) initiative.
