Mission

The Distributed Multi-Echelon Training Systems is “Support Mission” program designed to provide real time inversive environment for Vessel Engineer training for the U.S. Army Transportation School, Maritime & Intermodal Training Department (M&ITD).

Description

The DMETS architecture supports training on multiple types of current and future engines, including: • John Deere (JD) 6135 engine • MTU 16V2000 96L • CAT 3512 • CAT 9.3 • CAT 4.4.  The DMETS architecture also supports training on multiple types of Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS) to include: • MSD Lab – Electronically Controlled Engine Diagnostics/Troubleshooting Class A and B Vessel Training • Electronic Sensor Lab - Diagnostics/Troubleshooting Class A and B Vessels • MTU Engine Control Lab - MSV(L) Class A Vessel Training • Diesel Theory - Class B Vessel Training • Power Distribution Operations (OPS)/Maintenance - Class A Vessel Training
